Taking the Grand Gospel to the Grand Valley and Beyond
Church Planting in the Valley
![]() Lee and Jana Price felt the call of God to starting new churches after 12 years in fruitful work in 3 separate churches with youth. The Prices moved to New Castle in August '05 with a passion to reach spiritually needy people with the life changing Gospel of Jesus Christ. Lee and Jana began a new church in January of 2006 and called that church RiverChurches. That church grew rapidly and multiplied in December of 2006 after reaching an attendance of 50+ people. Lee Price is a multiplier of leaders and simple church training is a 'constant' with RiverChurches. RiverChurches is a network of house churches reaching into this area of Colorado. RiverChurches is developing a ministry center in New Castle to meet a wide range of needs in the community. RiverChurches is a missionary sending church. God has called some of RiverChurches best families to serve as missionaries in Africa and Austin, TX. Lee and Jana are working in cooperation with Mid-Valley Church in Carbondale, the Grand Valley Baptist Association, High Country Baptist Association and the Colorado Baptist General Convention. Check out their web site at http://www.riverchurches.org Pray! Pray! Pray! Eric Vaughan - Silt
Eric and Carol Vaughan served 3 years in Moscow with the IMB. Eric has a passion for reaching people for Jesus. Eric believes the Lord wants a strong, vibrant, growing, Bible teaching/preaching, missional church to be established in Silt. Eric works full time in a family construction business, but his passion is reaching people for Jesus. Amani Bullock and Family - Multi-cultural Church Planter ![]() Amani and Tiawana Bullock prayed diligently concerning God's call to church planting. Specifically God impressed upon them that Colorado was the location where He desired them to start a new church. In September of 2008 the Bullocks moved here from Marin City, CA. They began building relationships with multi-cultural families. In January 2009 they began a Bible study in the Riverside area of Grand Junction. The Bible study grew, people came to faith in Christ, several have been baptized and others have found a "home" at Familyroom Fellowship. On Easter Sunday 2009 52 people came to the first Sunday morning worship service. Amani was ordained to the Gospel ministry by Monument Baptist Church (sponsoring church) in late May. July 5th 2009 Familyroom Fellowship began meeting regularly on Sunday mornings for worship. In 2010 Familyroom Fellowship baptized 34 people as an expression of faith in Christ. In 2011 Familyroom continues to mature as leaders are being trained and a healthy church structure in taking place. Pray for Amani and Tiawana as they serve the Father in Grand Junction among the African-American and the english speaking Hispanic population segments! This is truly a mixed-cultural church plant. Mike Banks and Family - North Fruita Church Planter ![]() For over three years faithful Grand Valley Baptists prayed and gave their offerings above their tithes to invest in a future church plant in the Fruita area of Mesa County. In the summer of 2010 God brought the Mike Banks family out to Colorado from Louisville, KY. to see if God might be calling them to start that new church. God called Mike, Kellie, Stephen and Nick to move to Fruita during the last week of September 2010. The Banks family brings to Fruita a willingness to see a new Colorado Baptist church in Fruita. In July 2011 volunteers from Monument Baptist Church and Crown Peak Baptist Church were joined by 53 volunteer missionaries from Woodridge Baptist Church in Kingwood, Texas to sponsor a soccer camp and evening concerts in three different parks in Fruita. 95 children participated in the soccer camp and scores of Fruita residents joined God's volunteers from Colorado and Texas to hear our Lord praised by the Kingwood Praise Team. A great end to the summer is planned in Fruita during the week of August 7 -12 including block parties throughout the community and a concert with a Christian praise band from the front range on Friday night at the Civic Center Park in central Fruita. Please, pray for the Banks as they follow the Lord in this church planting journey Ask the Father to draw the lost to Himself through Mike, Kellie, Stephen and Nick! "Sojourn" is the name chosen by the core families for this new work in Fruita! Thank God for His answer to years of prayer! Call Mike or Kellie at 970-462-1574 for meeting times and locations! Jesus said to His disciples, "What a huge harvest! And how few the harvest hands. So on your knees; ask the God of the Harvest to send harvest hands." Luke 10:2 (The Message) ASK - ASK - ASK - ASK
PRAY - PRAY - PRAY - PRAY - PRAY - PRAY - PRAY
