Current Church Planting Needs
Have you asked God if He would have you partner with us in planting a new church in the Grand Valley of beautiful and spiritually needy western Colorado?
God is bringing people to the Valley on a steady basis. As newcomers come to the Valley two things need to happen. Our existing Colorado Baptist churches need to creatively reach out in the name of our blessed Savior and Lord. As we proclaim His love for all peoples, we need to show and tell these new residents that Jesus loves them! Additionally, Grand Valley Baptists need to start new churches to show and tell these new residents that our God loves them, too. Our existing Grand Valley Baptist churches can't possibly hold 10% of the peoples that the Father has brought and will continue to bring to western Colorado in the next few years. Led by the Lord, if we don't plan for this growth, we will miss out on what God wants us to experience in Him! Kingdom growth is all about Him! We are privileged to be considered worthy by Him to be partners with Him in this process of Kingdom building. We plant and water, but we need never forget that ONLY God gives the increase. However, if we refuse to plant the precious and powerful seed of God's Word, if we refuse to water where it has been planted, and if we fail to begin new churches to target the unreached population segments, will there be a harvest ? Consider this your personal invitation to join 2500+ Colorado Baptists living in the Grand Valley in this God sized process!

> Families specifically called of God to start churches;
> Families gifted to serve as pastor/leaders of a new church plant; and
> Families gifted to work another job and serve as support families working alongside and partnering with a pastor/leader in a new church plant.

Here are some of our current needs:
- Campus Church Needs: a church planter passionate for reaching the target culture (college students), specifically those attending Colorado Mesa University, in Grand Junction. This person must be good at building relationships with the current college culture; he must excel at making disciples and developing small groups for expanding the KOG.
- Set Free Church Needs: a church planter "indigenous" to the target culture, yet transformed by Jesus Christ and specifically called to serve his Lord as a minister to the culture from which he came. Additionally, need financial partners to give support by making a commitment to this ongoing work targeting those wishing to become overcomers from their addictions and their past. This will be a church plant that doesn't look in the rear view mirror of life, but looks through Jesus' eyes into the future.
- Looking for a "CHURCH STRENGTHENER FAMILY" gifted in music to serve alongside a Church Planter family in A COWBOY CHURCH PLANT in Fruita, CO. This is a M. S. C. North American Mission Board request (go to www.answerthecall.net and click on MSC Opportunities)
- Need a godly Chinese church planter family to begin a work among the growing Chinese population in Grand Junction. The Father wants to bring this population segment into realtionship with His Son Jesus.
- Searching for the God called family who are called to begin a new work in the Paradise Hills, Summer Hill, Grand Vista and Alpine Meadows sub-divisions of north Grand Junction. There are over 600 houses in this community. At least 2,400 people in need of the Good News live in these homes. The population segment includes upper middle class and professional families. This church planter family will need to be very relational and creative in his strategy.
- The Lord is calling the right church planter family to start a new church in the Colonial Heights, Diamond Ridge, Valley Meadows East and Moon Ridge Falls sub-divisions of north central Grand Junction. There are over 700 houses in this target area. Over 2,600 people live in this area of the city. These are middle class and upper middle class families. This population segment is very outdoors oriented. Very few people in these sub-divisions are regular attenders at any church. The L.D.S. group is the closest church to these people.
- The Father is searching for the right family, who are passionate about skiing, mountin biking, fly-fishing, rafting, mountian climbing and almost anything outdoors to plant a contemporary church in New Castle. This family will need to relate well to people who regularly and enthusiasticlly engage in outdoor activities. This community is a mixture of Anglo and Hispanic families. Many of these families are workers and managers in businesses in the resort communities in the area. The New Castle and Silt areas are near and have a combined population approaching 10,000. We have one house church network, RiverChurches, reaching out to these growing communities.
